The IR 2005 SC umbrella radiant heater, made of weatherproof aluminium and protected against splash water in accordance with protection class IP34, can be mounted on the umbrella pole (suitable for any diameter between 2.5 and 6 cm) in just a few steps. You can immediately feel the radiant heater’s pleasant warmth as soon as you switch it on. To adjust the heat intensity to your personal comfort, the umbrella radiant heater has three heat levels with 700, 1,300 and 2,000 Watts, which you can regulate via two toggle switches on the heater. Its visually appealing propeller design – heating arms that can be adjusted vertically up to 90° – allows it to be folded in and out at any angle and guarantees an intense 360° all-round heat in all directions. The warming infrared radiation is generated by a glare-free halogen heating element without disturbing the surrounding atmosphere.
Here’s how it works
The non-slip fastening of the IR 2005 SC is done without tools via a rotary knob fixing screw. This grants you the flexibility to fix the umbrella infrared heater to the umbrella pole according to your desired height and position. Protective grids above the heating vanes prevent direct contact between the umbrella cover and the heating elements. You can also adjust the heating intensity of the three heating elements as required. In the first heating stage (700 W), one heating arm switches on, in the second stage (1,300 W) two heating arms and in the third stage (2,000 W) all three heating arms. Depending on the number of people, individual seats or entire seating areas under the umbrella can be provided with soothing warmth.
The 360° all-round heat radiated downwards by the IR 2005 SC heats areas of up to 10 m² in a targeted manner – without annoying start-up times and without unpleasant odours or noises. When not in use, the umbrella radiant heater can be conveniently folded up to save space, without the hassle of disassembly. When folded, a switch-on lock provides additional safety.
The IR 2005 SC infrared heater warms up its surroundings following the natural principle of the sun. In contrast to devices with heating wires, the infrared rays of the umbrella radiant heater do not heat the ambient air, but only the surfaces and people they hit. The objects subject to this heat radiation (for example furniture, walls and ceilings) absorb the heat and store it, then gradually release it again. The objects thus become an additional source of energy and heat storage – even when the device is switched off, which additionally increases the efficiency of the infrared radiator.
