Here’s how it works
Thanks to laser measurement, the BD8M makes it quick and easy to determine the exact measurement of distances, areas and volumes. Addition and subtraction of the measurement data is possible as well as continuous measurements with MIN/MAX function and indirect measurements thanks to the Pythagoras function. The measured data is shown clearly on the backlit display and is also stored in the internal data memory (maximum 20 measurements). The integrated cross-line laser transmits clearly recognisable lines precisely onto surfaces at a distance of up to 10 meters.
With its robust ABS housing, the BD8M defies even harsh conditions on construction sites. Non-slip soft-grip inserts provide a secure grip in all measuring positions and, in addition, a circumferential rubber coating ensures extended fall protection. The outstanding features of the extremely light measuring device (only 295 g) are rounded off by a practical hand strap and a belt clip integrated in the device housing.
For maximum operating time, the BD8M has an intelligent automatic switch-off function, which automatically switches off the laser after 30 seconds of non-use and the entire unit after 2 minutes. This intelligent power-saving function is especially helpful in the hectic everyday life on the construction site and makes the BD8M an endurance runner among distance-measuring devices. The batteries needed to operate the device (2x 1.5V AAA batteries) are already included in the scope of delivery.
