Electric heater? Sold out almost everywhere! But not in Heinsberg – at Trotec, the TDS 10 P is currently available again as a robust electric heater in metal design for fast, effective heat via radial fan and is in stock in the store. As cool as this solidly constructed ceramic fan heater is presented in its grey metal housing, professional users will quickly become enthusiastic about this successfully designed heating solution. Because while the TDS 10 P heats cool rooms to the desired temperature in no time thanks to advanced PTC ceramic heating technology and a powerful radial fan, rough environments or rough handling during transport simply leave it cold. Get it fast – while stocks last!
Unique centrifugal fan design: while other cheaper fan heaters in this class use ordinary axial fans, the TDS 10 P has a powerful centrifugal fan instead.
Centrifugal fans transport the air in a similar way to a paddle wheel, which, compared to axial designs, results in more air capacity at higher pressure. For this reason, the rooms that are to be heated can be fully heated more quickly with the TDS 10 P. The centrifugal blower works much more quietly than a comparable axial fan.
So you benefit twice: from the better heat distribution and quieter fan noise at the same time.
For individual adjustment of the desired heat output, the TDS 10 P also has an infinitely variable thermostat and two separately switchable heating levels up to 2 kW heat output.
Thanks to its thermally insulated carrying handle, the TDS 10 P can be easily transported and simply used in thermostat-controlled automatic mode at the installation site, finely adjusted using two switchable heating levels with 1.4 or 2 kW heating output – and ventilation is also possible without a heating function on the cold air level.
PTC heating element impresses even cool calculators
You won’t be able to find the glowing heating wires with the TDS 10 P, because this electric heater heats the air with a durable ceramic heating element instead.
PTC advantage over heating wires: longer life, less sensitive technology, faster heating – and no dust combustion during the heating process, which also makes this ceramic heater allergy-friendly.
As with all electric heaters, the TDS 10 P neither produces condensate nor consumes oxygen. This ceramic fan is therefore ideal for heating closed, unventilated rooms.
Due to its robust metal construction, the TDS 10 P can be used not only for heating applications in basements, warehouses or on cold indoor construction sites, but also in construction trailers or in covered market stalls without any problems.
Safe use is guaranteed by the integrated overheating protection and an additional tilt safety device, which automatically deactivates the unit if it is accidentally tipped over.
Your benefits of the TDS 10 P at a glance

Faster air heating – more even room temperature
Trotec fan heaters with PTC ceramic heating elements (A) are not only characterised by faster heating behaviours compared to conventional heating coil technology (B). Depending on the process, there are also differences in the response behaviours of the heating elements.
Although the thermostat control of both units is implements via a two-point controller to maintain the preselected target temperature (orange), the corresponding temperature adjustment of units with heating coils is significantly slower and with greater deviations from the desired target temperature. The reason for this is the different current conduction behaviour of the heating elements:
If the current flows through heating coils, they are always the same temperature once heated. To regulate the desired room temperature, the power supply is first interrupted, causing the coil to cool down, and later reactivated by the thermostat so that it heats up fully again until the it is switched off again when the set target temperature is reached.
This ‘’on/off process’’ involves considerably greater temperature fluctuations than with ceramic heating elements, because these have an integrated temperature self-regulation due to the material. The hotter the PTCs become, the greater their current resistance, which means that less current can flow through the heating element and its heating power decreases accordingly, which results in significantly smaller temperature fluctuations and generally therefore also fewer on/off switches in thermostat-controlled operation.
For this reason, ceramic fan heaters can be used to create more uniform room temperatures for temperature-sensitive processing operations as well as a more pleasant working environment.
