The absolute highlight is the new additional automatic hot gas defrosting system
In contrast to circulating air defrosting, dehumidifiers for use in cooler rooms are equipped with a hot gas defrosting system using the bypass process. And that is now also the case with the TTK 100 E.
Here, the hot refrigerant gas in the compression circuit is actively used for fast and effective defrosting. As soon as ice begins to form, a special solenoid valve opens automatically and now diverts the hot gas from the compressor directly to the evaporator by bypass instead of to the condenser and closes again after the evaporator has defrosted to continue the regular refrigerant circuit for dehumidification operation.
In contrast to circulating air defrosting, the hot gas automatic defrosting system enables dramatically shorter defrosting phases of just a few minutes, which is a mandatory requirement for effective dehumidification in low-temperature areas such as unheated rooms. After all, the actual air dehumidification takes place exclusively during the non-defrost phases of the drying units!
For the dehumidification of unheated rooms with temperatures below 15 °C, dehumidifiers with hot has automatic are therefore always more suitable and can be used more effectively compared to circulating air defrosting units of the same compressor capacity.
