This is how it works
The tip of the temperature sensor is best inserted into the thickest part of the food. The base station, which is connected to the temperature sensor, then sends the current actual temperature in short regular intervals to the portable handset – the receiver – which alerts you when the meat has reached the desired consistency by beeping and changing the colour on its display.
A total of eight foods can be preselected on the receiver – BEEF, LAMB, VEAL, HAMBURGER, PORK, FISH, TURKEY and CHICKEN – and up to five pre-programmable doneness levels: ranging from WELL, the various stages in between, to RARE. The respective pre-programmable target temperatures can be adjusted individually. A stop watch and timer function are the perfect additions to the BT40’s other features. And in case you already plan on getting started with your outdoor grilling early: You can also safely leave the food to itself because, thanks to its wireless range of up to 20 meters, the BT40 spares you unnecessary inspection rounds to the grill.
