Here’s how it works
The Design Air Cooler PAE 81 lowers the temperature in a completely natural way by using the energy-efficient honeycomb cooling technology of the evaporation principle. As the room air flows through a moist honeycomb filter and the thermal energy is extracted, the air is cooled down, humidified with cold or ice-cold water, cleared of dust, fluff or animal hairs in the air filter, and blown out into the room as a flow of icy-fresh air.
As an air humidifier, the PAE 81 is ideal for year-round use because it supports the body’s own immune defence against airborne pathogens such as flu viruses and SARS-CoV-2. This is because too low an air humidity level dries out the mucous membranes in the nose and makes it easier for viruses to penetrate. Our new air cooler is also an impressive humidifier: with a powerful humidification capacity of 2.8 l/h, it keeps the air humidity permanently in the recommended range of 40 to 60 %.
The integrated timer function saves you energy and effort in equal measure as it switches the PAE 81 on or off completely automatically according to an individually preset time. The operating time before the device automatically switches on or off can be set in increments of 1 hour for between 1 to 15 hours. In the office, for example, the automatic switch-on function is practical as it means the work rooms can be cooled down to a pleasant temperature for the start of the working day. Or in the bedroom: the device can send you to sleep with a fresh breeze and then switch off until the following morning in order to save energy. And what’s more: you can conveniently control the entire range of functions by remote control!
And finally, the PAE 81 shows its true strength even in the smallest of spaces during storage and transport. The upper part of the device can be detached using only two handles and lowered into the lower water tank upside down. This practical storage function means the height of the device can be reduced in size from 111.5 cm to a cupboard-friendly 70.5 cm. Equally practical are the ergonomic recessed grips and the smooth-running castors, which make it easy to transport the air cooler from one room to another.
