Here’s how it works
Measurement of the characteristic values and regulation of the hands take place inside the Thermohygrometer BZ22M via a bimetallic thermometer and a specially treated synthetic fibre which expands when moist and contracts when dry. The resulting change in length is converted into a rotary motion by mechanical levers and axles and transmitted to the hands in a way that is comparable to a clockwork. If necessary, the display of the low-maintenance thermohygrometer can be readjusted using an easily accessible adjusting screw. And of course, the BZ22M does not need requires no batteries or maintenance inspections because it does not use any electronic parts. Four measured values are displayed in an easily comprehensible manner on the dial in the cross-pointer design:
