The Problem: Often, deep well pumps, garden pumps, centrifugal pumps or water pumps do not have their own power plug – and therefore do not have the possibility to control water delivery automatically. The solution: Trotec’s electronic pressure switch TDP DS offers a technical alternative that is as reliable as it is sophisticated. The pressure switch is simply installed between the pump and the connected consumer – and the pumping process runs automatically without the need for manual switching on and off.
The compact Trotec TDP DS pressure switch ensures constant water pressure in the connected pipe system for garden irrigation or domestic water supply and is suitable for almost all common pump systems without their own pressure switch or mains plug. In order for the power supply of the pump to be connected can be effected via the TDP DS pressure switch, it is equipped with an open cable end and a mains plug. The open cable end is then connected to the mains cable of your pump or the external pump control box. Afterwards you need only to connect the mains plug of the pressure switch to your house socket and the it’s ready for action- or water is automatically pumped without having to switch the pump on and off manually. An important note should not be overlooked here: Please note that the connection of the power supply should only be carried out by trained specialist personnel.
How it works
The TDP DS pressure switch controls the automatic domestic water supply and service water use in the home and garden and is the reliable solution for the automatic control of deep well pumps, garden pumps, centrifugal pumps or water pumps. This is because the pressure switch permanently monitors the line pressure and automatically switches on and restores the pressure in the event of a pressure drop. If the line pressure is reached again, the pump control switches itself off automatically.
The pressure switch is designed for a working pressure in the conveyor system of up to 10 bar, which can be read on the integrated pressure gauge. The robust plastic housing is protected against water jets and dust from all sides according to protection class IP65. The pumps connected to the pressure switch are protected against damage caused by dry running, kickback effects and overheating, thus extending their effective service life. Incidentally, the two inlet and outlet openings on the pressure switch are equipped with 1″ external threads and thus fit perfectly to common pump, hose or pipe connections.
