Our new professional flagship XC300 thermal imaging camera measures temperatures of up to +600 °C and makes differences of just 0.05 °C visible. This is made possible by a high-resolution 384 x 288 infrared image detector with its 110,592 autonomous, single temperature measuring points. It comes with live view settings, IR video and DuoVision Plus functions. You can read these on the PanoFold display, which can be pivoted in practically every direction and is unique for this type of camera. All of this is offered at Trotec’s usual, unbeatable price-performance ratio.
With the XC300, which is about to be launched onto the market, we are presenting a new flagship thermal imaging camera that is ideally suited to the requirements of the construction industry, building modernisation or refurbishment projects. After all, the new system offers a multitude of innovative functions typical of a top-of-the-range product but at a mid-range price. Moreover, this professional measuring instrument is well suited for other demanding applications, such as electrothermography or preventive maintenance in the industrial sector.
How it works
No more bending or twisting when working with the XC300. This is because its 3.5-inch touch display is designed as a so-called PanoFold display, which means that it can be pivoted in practically any direction – unique for this type of camera! This allows the PanoFold display to be infinitely tilted by 180° and rotated by 270°, ensuring optimum thermal imaging even with hard-to-reach areas. When not in use, the display simply folds inwards onto the keypad for safe storage.
Thanks to its high-resolution 384 x 288 infrared image detector with its 110,592 autonomous, single temperature measuring points, the XC infrared camera delivers fully radiometric thermal images with a fine detail display of even the smallest temperature differences. The thermal imaging camera measures temperatures of up to +600 °C (optionally up to +1,500 °C) and makes temperature differences of just 0.05 °C (50 mK) visible. The infrared images can be stored as single images or as MPEG-4 videos directly in the camera (non-radiometrically). Optionally, they can also be transmitted as fully radiometric IR videos to a PC where its 50 Hz/60 Hz technology can be used to record and analyse them directly in real time.
You can operate its electric focus either in laser-assisted automatic mode, or manually. You can also select an arbitrary measurement section using the XC300’s 10x digital zoom. Optional interchangeable lenses can be used to broaden the range of possible applications even further. The integrated laser rangefinder is also very helpful for all types of measurements. When this is switched on, you can read the measuring distance to the object directly on the display. The real image camera, with its 5 megapixel resolution and photo lamp, as well as its laser pointer for visual target acquisition, round off the standard equipment of the XC300.
Professional functions guarantee maximum user comfort
All functions of the XC300 are designed for maximum user comfort and operating efficiency, such as periodic image storage. This function permits continuous thermal imaging at a preselectable recording frequency, for example every 30 minutes. You can also save voice comments with your headset directly with the IR image via Bluetooth. Three additional highlights from the great variety of innovative functions available:
-
Live view settings
The settings for limiting (span) and selecting (level) the temperature range that are typical of thermal imaging cameras of this class do not have to be preset in the menu first and subsequently checked in the live image. Instead, the XC300 lets you configure these settings directly using the cursor keys. Any change can then be tracked live on the display.
-
IR video functions
The XC300’s optional IR video function creates optimal conditions for a very comprehensive analysis of your measurement results, because fully radiometric infrared videos can now be transferred in sync with the measurement onto a PC where the software evaluates and records them directly in real time. This function is used to examine in detail the heating and cooling behaviour of electronic and mechanical components or other objects over a defined period of time.
-
DuoVision Plus
Its integrated DuoVision functions can be used to make a variety of settings for live display during measurement. The DuoVision picture-in-picture display function lets you display infrared or real images as well as create a combined display of both types of image information in different overlays. The additionally available ‘DuoVision Plus’ function combines the infrared image information with high-contrast details of the visible light spectrum from the real image camera for a real-time display of an extremely detailed thermal image fusion on the camera display. And what’s more: in addition to numerous other functionalities, the specially included software also offers a DuoVision function for the superimposed display of documentation.
Typical Trotec design: Robust. Reliable grip. Durable.
Another striking feature of the new XC300 is its robust design, which is typical of all Trotec measuring devices and which also satisfies the requirements for long, trouble-free operation even under the harsh conditions of a construction site. The pistol-like thermal imaging camera is equipped with rubber guards on all sides, and boasts an impact-protected two-component design according to protection class IP54.
