In today’s fourth issue of our ‘Infrared radiant heaters for patios’ Trotec guide, we present the two application variants available from modern radiant heaters. Firstly, infrared radiators are available for space-saving mounting to walls or ceilings, but they only heat this pre-defined area. Or you can opt for a portable pedestal radiant heater, which you can move flexibly between different locations, but which requires floor space as well.
With both variants you can extend your ‘short holiday’ on your patio because every IR heater from Trotec provides you with cosy warmth. However, the best thing to do before choosing a design is to devise a plan on how and where the radiant heater should be used most effectively on the patio. Do you, for example, have a fixed seating area on your patio where you can regularly relax with your family and friends? Then you might want a permanently installed infrared radiant heater. Or do you like to stay flexible, even move your patio furniture from here to there now and again and, moreover, can you not do without your IR radiator in your conservatory as well or when camping in your mobile home? Well, then a portable pedestal heater would probably be the best solution for you.
Infrared heater for permanent mounting on wall or ceiling
Installing a wall or ceiling spotlight is easy and done in no time using suitable brackets. When installing, you should make sure that the angle and installation height of the heater allow for an optimum heating of the desired area. Once installed, the infrared heater will reliably heat the selected area. Of course, it is best to install the heaters directly above the area to be heated on the ceiling or above on the wall. In doing so, the spotlight should be no more than 2 metres away from its target so that the rays can heat up as effectively as possible.
Infraredpedestal radiant heater for portable use
The portable pedestal radiant heaters from Trotec are ready to use quickly and everywhere without preparation or fastening. Drilling holes and dowelling or other time consuming assembly work is no longer necessary. Just set it up, switch it on and enjoy the warmth. Infrared pedestal radiant heaters can be positioned next to tables and chairs, exactly where that cosy extra heat is needed. Pedestal heaters also have the advantage that they can even provide warmth under a table, where wall heaters often have no impact. Thanks to their permanently installed mains plug, the highly portable heaters are impressive wherever a socket is nearby. Wherever you do not want to do without an additional portable heat source, an IR pedestal heater is therefore the first choice.
