The basic differences between the two heater options – briefly explained. The electric heaters from the TDS series are ideal for mainly stationary temperature control of unheated interiors, because they neither consume oxygen nor produce combustion fumes. In contrast, directly, fires oil-fires fan heaters from the IDE series D are ideal for use outdoors or in well-ventilated interiors. Furthermore, the indirectly fired fan heaters can also be used to heat enclosed spaces when using the optionally available flue gas exhaust.
The advantages of the electric fan heaters from the TDS series
The series comprises of a total of 7 devices ranging from the TDS 10 with up to 2 kW, to the TDS 120 with 30 kW heating capacity. The option of having a wall mounting or installation under the ceiling opens up a wide range of different applications, for example for heating construction containers, market stalls, greenhouses, small halls, garages, workshops, boathouses or for assembly work.
- Thanks to the integrated thermostat control, the warm air flow generated can be continuously adjusted to the desired temperature in all TDS models. (In the case of the TDS 10, the heating elements are thermostat-controlled and only switch on when required in addition to the permanent fan.)
- All other TDS units can also be used in fan mode without a heating function and have a multi-stage power control for optimum temperature control to adjust the heating intensity as required.
- In addition, the electric fan heaters from the TDS series score points with overheating protection, fan motor with thermal protection, fan run-on function for cooling down the components (from TDS 30) as well as a fan function (except TDS 10).
The advantages of the oil fan heaters from the IDE series
Whether direct or indirect – the IDE series from Trotec always offers you maximum heating power for all your heating applications.
- The direct oil heaters from the IDE series D are optimally suited for outdoor use, for heating outdoor construction sites, agricultural areas or in well-ventilated indoor rooms, because they make all the heat that is generated, available. That’s why direct heaters don’t have a chimney. A total of 5 units are available in the D series – from the IDE 20 D with 20 kW to the IDE 100 with 100 kW heating capacity.
- The indirect oil heaters from the IDE series are ideal for rooms where only limited ventilation is possible, but which are nevertheless to be used by people and animals. They are also a good choice for accelerating the drying of buildings and in rooms where there is a fire hazard due to the presence of flammable materials. A total of 5 indirect heaters are available – from the IDE 20 with 20 kW to the IDE 80 with 80 kW heating capacity.
- For temperature adjustment as required, the IDE units have an integrated thermostat, depending on the model as an analogue version or electronically with additional dual display for setpoint and actual value.
- For constant firing of the stainless steel combustion chamber, many IDE units are supplied with fuel via a high-quality Danfoss® injection pump.
- The variety of functions and features is topped off by hard-wearing housing made of double-coated sheet steel, the integrated fuel tank with indicator, an electronic flame safeguard, overheating protection, a stainless steel combustion chamber and the connection for an external thermostat.
