How does a garden pump actually work?
With a garden pump like the TGP 1000 E from Trotec, water can be conveyed from one place to another. You can water trees and lawns with it, and also siphon off excess water, to avoid plants drowning in the case of flooding, for example. It is also known as a flow pump, as it contains an impeller which is driven by nozzles and which creates a strong vacuum. This produces a strong current and a suction power which makes it possible to siphon water. The garden pump must be connected to a suitable power source and a suitable suction hose with coupling must be connected to the pump. It is advisable to use a hose with a non-return valve or to procure a non-return valve if this is not included in the garden pump set.
What to note when buying a garden pump
